Our Free Agent System is specifically designed to connect individual players with teams looking to add talent, personality, and new friendships to their roster.

Register as a Free Agent
Complete your Free Agent Registration online and tell us a little about yourself, including your athletic background, preferred positions, and experience level. Once registered, you’ll automatically be added to our Free Agent Pool.

Free Agent Mixer & Draft Night
Before the season begins, team captains will review Free Agent profiles and select players during our Free Agent Mixer & Draft Night. This is a fun, social event where you can meet other players, connect with captains, and potentially be drafted onto an existing team. Attendance is encouraged but not required.

Team Placement
If you’re drafted, congratulations! You’ll receive your team assignment and be introduced to your captain before Opening Night.If you aren’t selected during the draft, we’ll do our best to place you on another team. If enough free agents register, we’ll create a dedicated Free Agent Team led by an experienced Team Captain.
And if you don’t get drafted…
While our goal is to get every free agent on the field, we can’t always guarantee placement. If we’re unable to place you on a team, you’ll have several options:
- Receive a full refund of your registration fee.
- Join our Substitute Player List and receive opportunities to play throughout the season.
- Recruit additional players at a discounted registration rate if enough interest exists to form a new team.
- Receive priority registration for the following season at a discounted rate, giving you first access to the Free Agent Draft before registration opens to the general public.
No matter the outcome, we’re committed to helping you find the best opportunity to become part of the Augusta Premier Kickball community.

What is a Free Agent
A free agent is any player who registers without an existing team.Once registered, you’ll be added to our Free Agent Pool where team captains can view player profiles and identify players who may be a good fit for their roster.
Whether you’re highly competitive, purely social, or somewhere in between, there’s a team looking for players just like you.

What Makes a Great Free Agent
Short answer? Almost everyone.Our league welcomes players of all skill levels and athletic backgrounds.
That said, players with experience in sports such as baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, flag football, and rugby, often transition naturally into kickball.
But don’t let that intimidate you. Some of our best players had never played organized kickball before joining a team.

What to Expect
A typical night starts with players arriving early, catching a few innings of the game before, and hanging out with teammates before first pitch. As game time approaches, Captains set the lineup, teams warm up, and the fun begins.
Expect welcoming atmosphere filled with great plays, friendly banter, music, laughs, and plenty of competition. After the game, teams shake hands, then many players head to the league bar for food, drinks, and post-game socializing.
