Our league was created by players, for players, with a focus on organization, transparency, sportsmanship, competition, and community.
These rules exist to create a consistent playing experience, promote player safety, and ensure fair competition throughout the season.
All players, captains, and league officials are expected to know and follow these rules.
Augusta Premier Kickball recognizes that no rulebook can account for every possible situation.
Any situation not specifically addressed within these rules shall be resolved according to the spirit of fair play, sportsmanship, player safety, and the best interests of the league.
The goal of every ruling should be to preserve the integrity of competition while maintaining the fun, welcoming, and community-focused environment that defines Augusta Premier Kickball.
Augusta Premier Kickball utilizes a Captain’s Council to assist with league governance and dispute resolution.
The Captain’s Council consists of one representative from each team.
The Captain’s Council may review:
The League Commissioner serves as facilitator and may vote only in the event of a tie.
Council decisions are final.
Games consist of:
The runner should use the orange safety base on close plays at first base.
The defensive player should use the white base.
The safety base exists to reduce collisions and improve player safety.
Augusta Premier Kickball does not utilize an Infield Fly Rule.
All live balls remain in play until an out is recorded, the ball becomes dead, or time is called.
Runners must make every reasonable effort to avoid unnecessary contact with defensive players.
Defensive players may not intentionally obstruct a runner’s path unless actively making a play on a live ball.
Deliberate collisions, dangerous play, and reckless conduct are prohibited.
The umpire may declare a runner out, award bases, issue warnings, or eject players for violations.
Defensive players should make every reasonable effort to provide runners access to home plate.
Runners must make every reasonable effort to avoid contact.
Player safety shall always take priority over competitive advantage.
Responsible alcohol consumption is permitted where legally allowed (this applies to facility rules and regulations as well).
Excessive intoxication, disorderly conduct, or behavior that negatively impacts the league may result in removal.
Augusta Premier Kickball is committed to fostering a competitive, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all players, officials, and spectators.

All disciplinary matters will be reviewed by the Captains Council, which will determine the appropriate consequences based on the severity of the offense and any prior incidents.
Players may be ejected for:

Teams will be seeded based on total cumulative season points.
If teams finish tied in points:
The season concludes with Jake Smith Championship Night.

The event serves as both the culmination of the season and a tribute to Jake Smith, whose impact on the local kickball community continues to inspire the league.
Augusta Premier Kickball reserves the right to modify rules when necessary to improve player safety, competitive balance, and league operations.
Captains will be notified of any rule changes before implementation whenever possible.
