Rules Differences

While many rules remain familiar, there are a few notable differences:

Women Can Play Anywhere

Unlike some leagues, Augusta Premier Kickball does not require a minimum number of female players in the outfield.

Female players may play any defensive position.

No Infield Fly Rule

We do not utilize an infield fly rule.

Every live ball remains playable.

Consistent Pitching Rules

Pitching rules remain consistent throughout the league.

There is no separate pitching style based on division or level of play.

Pitcher's Possession Rule

Once the pitcher gains possession of the ball and is actively returning to the mound, time is considered called.

This helps create consistency and reduce unnecessary disputes.

No Male Bunting

Male bunting is currently prohibited.

Should a formal competitive division be created in the future, this rule may be revisited.

Mercy Rule

Games end if a team leads by 15 runs after four innings.

No team wants to lose by 30.
