League Update: Fall 2026 Field Reservations

At Augusta Premier Kickball, one of our core values is transparency.
From day one, we’ve committed to communicating openly with our players—even when we don’t have all the answers yet. Many of you have asked where we’ll be playing this fall, and rather than wait until everything is finalized, we wanted to share exactly where things stand.
Our Preferred Home: Eisenhower Park
Since early May, we’ve been working with Augusta Recreation & Parks to reserve fields at Eisenhower Park for our inaugural Fall 2026 season, as well as our 2027 league seasons.
We believe Eisenhower Park offers the best experience for our players due to its central location and aligns with our long-term vision for Augusta Premier Kickball.
Over the past three months, we’ve done everything we know to do to follow the County’s published reservation process, including:
- Contacting eight Augusta Recreation & Parks staff members and County officials
- Sending more than 11 emails
- Participating in numerous phone calls
- Meeting with staff in person
- Submitting a 2026 and 2027 Facility Rental Requests
- Providing the required Certificate of Insurance
- Submitting a Georgia Open Records Request to better understand the reservation process
- Following up respectfully while awaiting a decision
At this time, we’re still waiting for a determination regarding our reservation requests.
Why We Haven’t Announced a Field Yet
Our season officially begins on September 3, 2026.
While we’d love to announce our home field today, we’re still awaiting a final decision regarding Eisenhower Park.
We understand these decisions take time, and we want to give Augusta Recreation & Parks every reasonable opportunity to complete its review before making our official announcement.
The Good News
Kickball is happening this fall.
While Eisenhower Park remains our first choice, we’ve proactively secured alternative field options to ensure our inaugural season moves forward regardless of the final outcome.
Our goal has always been to provide the best possible experience—not to leave our players wondering whether there will be a season. There will be. Period.
The APK Promise
No matter where Opening Night takes place, here’s what you can count on:
- There WILL be kickball this fall.
- Our inaugural season is happening despite the lack of confidence in a player led organization (which has officially been registered as a 501(c)(7) nonprofit by the way).
- There WILL be umpires.
- We have secured two of the best umps in the biz, who are equally as excited for Opening Night as we are. They are experienced, professional, and have values that align with what APK is all about.
- Every registered player WILL receive league swag. Every registered player will receive:
- An official Augusta Premier Kickball t-shirt
- An APK koozie
- An APK sticker
- Every team captain WILL receive an official kickball.
- Each captain will receive a kickball for practices and team use throughout the season.
- Every player WILL receive our official rulebook.
- Every registered player and captain will receive our complete digital rulebook before Opening Night so everyone understands the rules, expectations, and league policies before the first pitch.
- The complete season schedule WILL be released before Opening Night.
- You’ll know your opponents, game times, and season schedule before the first kick. No more having to constantly check a website the day of your game to find out what time you play. You’ll know… well in advance.
- We’ll CONTINUE to communicate openly and honestly.
- Whether it’s exciting news or difficult news, you’ll hear it from us first. We’ll continue providing league updates, answering questions, and being transparent throughout the season.
- We WON’T make promises we can’t keep.
- You’ll notice we haven’t announced a field location simply for the sake of making an announcement. That’s intentional. We’d rather wait until we have confirmed information than make promises we may have to change later. Our commitment is to be honest, transparent, and accountable—even when the update is simply, “We’re still waiting.”

Augusta Premier Kickball was founded because we believed our community deserved another option. One built on:

Launching a brand-new league has been one of the most exciting and hope-filled experiences we’ve ever undertaken, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our players, captains, umpires, sponsors, and community.
While we wish we had a final answer regarding our preferred field location today, we’re confident in what we’ve built—and even more excited about what’s ahead.
As soon as we receive a final determination regarding our field reservations, we’ll announce our official home field and release additional league information.
