Kickmas for a Cause: Augusta Premier Kickball Brings Holiday Cheer and Charity to the Field

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… to kick some balls!

This December, Augusta Premier Kickball is trading ordinary kickball for a little Christmas chaos, all in the name of giving back.

On Sunday, December 13, 2026, we’re bringing Kickmas for a Cause: A Very Merry Kickball Tournament to Eisenhower Park in Augusta, Georgia, for an afternoon of festive competition, holiday-themed challenges, and community fundraising benefiting the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home.

From Christmas-themed teams and mischievous game-effecting power-ups to interactive challenges that let spectators influence the competition, Kickmas for a Cause is anything but your typical kickball tournament.

And while there will be plenty of laughs, friendly rivalries, and holiday shenanigans, the heart of this event is something much bigger.

More Than Kickball. A Chance to Give Back.

At Augusta Premier Kickball, we’ve always believed recreational sports can do more than bring people together on the field. They can create friendships, strengthen communities, and make a meaningful difference beyond the game.

That’s exactly what inspired Kickmas for a Cause.

Fifty percent of tournament proceeds will benefit the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, supporting its mission of caring for Georgia’s military veterans. The remaining proceeds will support Augusta Premier Kickball, a 501(c)(7) nonprofit organization dedicated to building a more organized, welcoming, and player-focused recreational sports community.

“Kickmas for a Cause is about bringing people together and using something as simple and accessible as kickball to make a meaningful impact in our community,” said J. Ashley Panter, President and League Commissioner of Augusta Premier Kickball.

“We wanted to create something that goes beyond a traditional tournament—something fun, competitive, a little ridiculous, and full of Christmas spirit, all while supporting the veterans who have given so much to our country.”

For Panter, the event also reflects a more personal belief about the importance of remembering older generations during the holidays.

“While creating magical memories for kids is important, I believe our seniors deserve to experience that same sense of joy, connection, and belonging. They’ve spent their lives giving to others, and they deserve to feel just as celebrated in their later years as children do in their earliest ones.”

It’s a reminder that the holidays are about more than presents and celebrations. They’re about making people feel remembered, appreciated, and connected.

Not Your Ordinary Christmas Kickball Tournament

Forget everything you know about traditional kickball tournaments. We’re adding a little holiday mischief to the mix!

Kickmas for a Cause features a cumulative Tournament Points system instead of traditional elimination rounds. Every team is guaranteed at least two games, and teams remain in contention for the championship throughout the event.

Rather than relying solely on wins and losses, teams accumulate points through game results, runs scored, and special holiday activities.

That means every run matters, every game counts, and a little Christmas spirit could make the difference between winning and losing.

Holiday Spirit Competition

Who says Christmas costumes are just for holiday parties?

Teams are encouraged to embrace their festive side with coordinated Christmas themes, ugly sweaters, Santa suits, Grinch-inspired outfits, or whatever holiday creativity they can dream up.

The best part? Holiday spirit can earn teams bonus Tournament Points!

Costumes aren’t required, but creativity is definitely encouraged.

Holiday Power-Ups

Why settle for ordinary kickball when you can introduce a little Christmas magic?

Teams can purchase special holiday-themed Power-Ups that create unexpected twists in gameplay. From gaining an advantage at the plate to throwing a little mischief at an opposing team, these additions make every game a little less predictable.

And because Power-Up purchases support the fundraiser, a little friendly sabotage can actually do some good!

Jingle Balls Kickball Challenge

Think you’ve got a pretty accurate kick?

Put your skills to the test with Jingle Balls Kickball Challenge, an interactive kicking challenge where players and spectators can earn additional Tournament Points for their favorite teams.

Whether you’re playing in the tournament or cheering from the sidelines, your kick could help influence the final standings.

Santa’s Workshop

Here’s where things get especially interesting.

Through Santa’s Workshop, spectators can purchase special game-changing boosts to help their favorite teams or create a little friendly holiday chaos.

That means the crowd isn’t just watching the action. They’re part of it.

Mrs. Claus’ 50/50 Raffle

Feeling lucky?

Attendees can also participate in Mrs. Claus’ 50/50 Raffle for a chance to take home a portion of the raffle proceeds while supporting the event’s fundraising efforts.

No Team? No Problem. You’re Still Part of the Fun!

One of the things we’re most excited about is making Kickmas for a Cause an event for the entire Augusta community—not just registered kickball players.

Whether you’re bringing a full team, signing up individually, or simply coming to enjoy the festivities, there’s a way for everyone to participate.

Spectators can actively influence the competition through Jingle Balls, Santa’s Workshop, and other fundraising activities.

Bring your friends, family, coworkers, or anyone who enjoys a little friendly competition and Christmas cheer.

You don’t have to be on a roster to make an impact!

Supporting Those Who Have Served

Located right here in Augusta, the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home provides care for eligible military veterans who have served our country.

Through Kickmas for a Cause, we hope to do more than raise money. We want to encourage our community to recognize and celebrate the veterans and older generations who have given so much throughout their lives.

“Our veterans have made tremendous sacrifices, and this is an opportunity for our community to show its appreciation in a meaningful way,” Panter said.

“Whether someone registers a team, participates in a challenge, or simply comes out to support the event, they’re helping us turn a Sunday Funday into something that gives back.”

And that’s what Kickmas is really about.
